Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Dormitories

8APSS students will stay at the UIUC University Dormitories, in Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Building, located on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The residence is within walking distance of the Newmark Civil Engineering Building, the main shopping district in Green Street, and several interesting campus landmarks.

Room type: double (two students per room)
Check-in time: July 27th, 7:00pm
Check-out time: August 15th, 11:00am

Parking in Champaign

We have 10 parking spots in lot D9 (right next to ISR dorm) reserved for use of APSS students and invited lecturers.

Each interested student will need to come up to the ISR Front Desk to fill out a parking application and will receive a parking pass from us. Please be ready to present information such as driver's license number, license plate, etc.

Visitors can purchase the following passes to use the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Complex:

one-day pass for $10

Illini Union Rec Room

Champaign and Urbana are bicycle friendly cities. The landscape is flat and there are so many beautiful places that are perfect for a pleasant afternoon ride. You can travel anywhere within a 30 mile radius of town with our biking system combined with our excellent local MTD bus system (All the buses are equipped with a bicycle carrier).

Visitors from out of town, only staying briefly, should check out the regular bike rental to meet your needs. It’s a worry-free, fast, and safe solution to get around the town.
