Benchmark Data UNIX instructions

When you are ready, download BENCH.tar.Z, and perform the following steps:

  1. uncompress BENCH.tar.Z    Creates the file "BENCH.tar"
  2. tar xf BENCH.tar          Creates the directory "BENCH"
  3. rm BENCH.tar              Deletes temporary files
  4. cd BENCH                  Change directory to "BENCH"
In this directory, there are two subdirectories named "amd" and "tendon". Each directory corresponds to one of the benchmark problems. To begin, look at the file "BENCH/amd/README.AMD" which contains the information necessary to use both of the benchmark data and programs. Additional information pertinent to the active tendon problem can then be found in "/BENCH/tendon/README.TDN".

If you have trouble downloading the binary file BENCH.tar.Z above, try downloading a uuencoded version BENCH.tar.Z.uu. To decode BENCH.tar.Z.uu, execute uudecode BENCH.tar.Z.uu ; rm BENCH.tar.Z.uu and then perform the 4 steps listed above.
