Control Algorithm and Actuator Location

A first analysis of the benchmark problem shows two possible ways to improve the structural control efficiency: 1) to use different control algorithms; 2) to locate the actuator(s) in different positions. The authors will start from the classical LQG approach and will compare its efficiency for different locations of the actuator. A fuzzy controller will also be implemented and compared with the corresponding LQG system. At the end a system of distributed actuators will be investigated and its efficiency tested.
