Railroad Bridges and Infrastructure
Design, construction, replacement, maintenance, inspection, and assessment (sensing) of railroad bridges. Regulations, research, and recommended practices towards railroad bridge management.
Structural Dynamics and Structural Health Monitoring
Data acquisition and data processing both on real-time and remotely. Structural health monitoring of railroad bridges, including track monitoring, with emphasis of campaign monitoring under traffic for replacement prioritization at the network level.
Wireless Smart Sensors Networks
Investigate and use and development of simplified, inexpensive, and portable wireless smart sensors for both campaign and long-term assessment of critical infrastructure.
